Originally posted by @vanderveldeI think "How Chess Games are Won and Lost" is his best. It has many of his games as examples, and he loses several of them, so I felt that I was learning with him, not just from him. It is rare for a strong GM to teach from his losses as well as his wins.
I think I saw Hansen's blog with instructive Pawn ending somewhere.
Now I am tempted to purchase his book over amazon.com
His "Secrets of Chess Endgame Strategy" is also excellent.
"Foundations of Chess Strategy" is my favorite, though, because it made me re-evaluate myself as a player. It also helped me appreciate that there is more than one way to approach the game. He is methodical and theoretical, but at the same time very "un-dogmatic" about the game.
