Recall reading a fictional short story in CL&R about some bloke who came up w/an opening gambit that left his opponents essentially paralyzed. Punch line to the story was the discovery/invention of the absolute refutation - they took him out behind the chess club, shot him dead and banned his gambit.
Any chance anyone here can point me to the author and/or the stroy on-line? TYVM! (It was a pretty fuuny read, sure to make one laugh.)
