Start the candidates over?

So they announced the candidates tournament will resume in April with the 8th round.

I think they should restart it.
Players have gotten stronger/weaker and I have not looked at the standings yet but the players who got stronger could be too far behind to win when they could win with a restart.

You have to win something to get into the candidates tournament.
