or some reason, over the last couple of days, i seem to be beating people in their 1300's all of a sudden which i never used to be able to do. Either my game has improved ten fold overnight, or it is just a huge coincidence that these people i have been playing have all been drinking heavily before playing me.
That brings me onto another thing. Will i be accused of cheating for my sudden spurt in success?
Anyway, just a paranoid thought.
I have noticed a 'heartbeat' like pulse on the graph in my profile, but put this down to drinking at weekends and making silly moves. I do hope it continues though cos i've been playing on here for about 9 months now and its been pretty much the same. One minute i think i'm getting the hang of it then someone will rip me to pieces in an opening and i never even saw it coming.
Think that's the main part of the game though. Opening up correctly. After that i think the next step is what to do after that. How to launch a proper offensive. That always gets me.

Don't worry jimslyp69, it is probably all natural!
I have experienced quite a sudden increas in my rating. Did not even get under 1300 for about three straight weeks and topped myself a little over 1400 (and be cursed to participate in a banded tournament too high for my chess ability) very unexpectedly. You probably (or finally) learned to avoid making some fatal errors. I know I have eventually....

but i am very disappointed ... all that hard work, self control, lack of alcohol, even sometimes turning the telly off while i play ... yet no-one has accused me of steroid use.
:'(
p.s. dean08 may have something to say ... he might wipe 32 points off me sometime soon ... i could probly time him out, but i would rather do it with chess.
pps my new flag has been chosen to suit my graph.
