Hi guys - I know we can't discuss ongoing games here, but hopefully I can treat this as a general site query...
I've got a game ongoing at the moment that is an absolute dead draw - literally, there are only the two kings on the board. However, despite me offering a couple of times, my opponent won't accept the draw. Am I literally stuck in a pointless dance around the board for the next 50 moves until the limit is reached, or is this just a bug where the site should have already ruled the game a draw?
Thanks

It's not the classical setup since you are the subscriber and they are spending time on a useless game with only six to play...

Originally posted by FabianFnasApologies, you're right of course. Next time it's my move I'll check that works - I only saw the "offer draw" option and assumed the "claim move" button only worked if an offer had been received from the opponent.

If you go to the FIDE site : -
http://www.fide.com/component/handbook/?id=32&view=category:
and then go to "E.I. Laws of Chess", then to Article 5.2b, you will find that the game was in fact drawn after Black's 61st move, as this 'Dead Position' law then applied. Suggest you message your opponent pointing this out to him.

or (more likely IMHO) he is just being a total [insert an even worse degrading remark here] about it for some reason and wouldn't take any notice.
first you offer a draw when you think it is a draw, but there are too many pieces on the board for the "claim draw" option to work. after that use the "claim draw" option and move on.
