Just thought it would be interesting to start a little survey...
At first I just wanted to find out how much time people spend studying vs playing chess. But then, I thought it would be more interesting to find out how people spend their study and play time (and why, if you'd like to talk about that too). So.. here's the little survey I've come up with. Don't feel pressured to answer all the questions. Answer as much or as little as you like.

I guess I should probably start this off myself... I should say that I've just come back to chess after about a two year hiatus, and have just been back in to it for about a week now.. so what I'm doing right now is not representative of how I have and will be spending my time in the long run.
So, on to the survey...
What are your rating(s), if you have any and would like to share them?
I'm unrated. When I left FICS a couple of years ago, I had a blitz rating of 1137. I never played enough official tournament chess to get a real rating, but I would estimate that at my peak I was probably between 1600 and 1800 USCF. Now I'm really rusty, and would probably blunder myself to a much lower rating.
How many hours do you spend on chess (per day, hour, week, or month.. whatever you feel comfortable estimating) ?
Maybe 4 or 5 hours per day for the past week. I tend to get obsessed with chess when I'm interested in it... which was one reason I forced myself to stay away from it for so long. With chess I'm like an alcoholic... one drink, and it's the end... 😉

From a quick glance, I'd categorize clan play as a variety of tournament play. I could be wrong here, so feel free to correct me. Alternatively, there could just be another question:

My current RHP rating - 1552 (also my best yet)
Hours playing chess per week - around 6-7
Hours studying chess per week - around 3-4
Studying: 60% reading (which often includes reading on tactics, openings, endgames, etc. 😉), 25% tactics, 10% openings, 5% endgames
Playing:
25% Blitz (30 minutes per player or less)
75% Correspondence
95% Online/Computer
5% OTB
