They don't always receive the same coverage as mens though, which probably has more to do with the grades involved rather than any male bias. Womans chess is probably covered more widely than mens at the same grading category..

At high levels women play in separate tournaments. I don't know anything about local clubs. Would it be typical for them to be integrated?

Come RJ. Even 30 years ago we knew never to take the QNP with the Queen.
The game was played in Russia.
You take the QNP with the Queen in Russia and you do a stretch in Siberia.
