Just played through this cracking game from the womans World championship first round. Have to admire the bravery displayed by both players in this game. 🙂

Cool game.

At high levels women play in separate tournaments. I don't know anything about local clubs. Would it be typical for them to be integrated?

I'm no expert but e5 looks like a killer move.

Well i don't know about clubs abroad but there certainly aren't any womans teams in the UK that i'm aware of, other than National teams that is. As for individual competitions, there are loads of womans tournaments internationally. They don't always receive the same coverage as mens though, which probably has more to do with the grades involved rather than any male bias. Womans chess is probably covered more widely than mens at the same grading category..

That lass is quite a sharp attacking player.

When she is not saccing Rooks she is saccing Queens.

"After19.e5 what is wrong with 19...Qxb2 ??"

Come RJ. Even 30 years ago we knew never to take the QNP with the Queen.
The game was played in Russia.
You take the QNP with the Queen in Russia and you do a stretch in Siberia.
