I'm too much glass-half-empty to predict great glory and a world championship just from this, but it is a good sign at least. If only there had been more publicity for it nationally, this might have meant something for chess in my country.
Tata is finished. Van Forrest, with a last round win tied Giri for first with 8.5/13. Carlsen beat MVL, but still finished with 7.5 for 6th place, a major disaster for him. MLV had a horrible event, finished 2 from the bottom.

It is certainly a remarkable result! I wonder if "home field" advantage is even greater during the pandemic. Maybe home cooked meals as opposed to plastic wrapped takeout every night makes a difference? Regardless, congrats to the Dutchmen!
