The below link is a very good (and free!) site for teaching chess to beginners. See if you can interest her in it.

teach her the simple mates like king and rook Vs king and king and queen Vs king and stuff then show her postions with mate in one and two then go to more comlex ones be let her grasp the very basic mates and then if she has a wining postion ( like 2 rooks and king vs 1 rook and king) shell be able to win then from the postions she should start understanding also show her famous attacking games so she understands the idea

Uh! Lev Alburt teaches it this way. If all the squares around the king - including the one the king is sitting on - is under the control of the pieces in opposition to that king in the box, then it's checkmate my friend. Lesson learned.

he said already she understands that but how to checkmate herself she doesnt get tell her this:

in order to checkmate you must surrond the king cut off all escape squares/routes that check him that will be check mate you can also sometimes do this by cuting off the escape routes while check like in 2 rooks and king vs king mate

Actually, I did remember the account name Thudandblunder. I had no idea that you were both accounts though. Why did you change names?

EDIT- By the way, I don't have any issue with you calling out spammers. It was just that the date you joined didn't coincide with your knowledge of the site.
Spamming is the least of his sins. Wasn't his other alias Wibble Wobble banned for engine use? I wouldn't be surprised if he is also chessmentor, our new teacher.

I changed accounts because, having lost my old email account details, I couldn't log on as THUDandBLUNDER.

when i was that age all i could do was the rook roll, and that was because it was the only endgame checkmate my dad knew when he taught me to play (obviously i could still checkmate people without it, but it was the only endgame style checkmate i was taught).

when i was in 5th grade i joined the chess club and they told us you couldn't checkmate a guy with your king and queen vs his lone king and that it was a draw there (lmao, i can't believe how little these people teaching us chess must have known). a few years later i was messing around with a chess board and i figured out that it in fact WAS possible, totally blew my mind. i set out to learn more checkmates and quickly picked up the castle and king... the two bishops took me some time...

i still have no idea how to do the knight and bishop and i don't feel like screwing with it, just knowing its possible and that i can someday learn it is enough for me since i don't play in tournaments yet.

I explain checkmate this way: the king will be captured on the next turn, regardless of any defensive move.

In other words, there is no way to save the king on the next turn.

Seems like writing a long detailed paragraph here takes more effort than a google search. I'd think it would be more lazy to google search.

Why not discard the true rule of check mate and define it like this?:
The game is won when the other king is taken and lost when your own king is taken.
After a while you introduce the correct rule and everything is clear.
