I've heard from a few players that there are 3 ruts you get stuck at.
1100(where Im stuck at now), 1600 and 1800? Have any one you guys been stuck in the 1100 rut(if one exists)? How long did it last? What did you do to get out of it?

Any advice would be immensely appreciated.🙂

Practice tactics, lots of 'em. Also play loads of blitz if you can as it'll highlight the most common tactical ideas that inexperienced players fall for. Yes, long games are better for all-round play but blitz enables you to cram.

Tactics, tactics, tactics... Visualization exercises. You can add two hundred points to that 1100 rating in six months easily!
