This is my main opening choice against 1...d5. However, I am unsure about the main plans and themes of this opening. Is it suitable for a Kingside attack or a Queenside attack?
Valery Broznik wrote a truly excellent book about this opening.
as said above. you should be able to take out some average players attacking on kingside, pushing for e4 and activating your two bishops towards blacks king. this classic bishop sacrifice is covered in ''the art of attack''. if you play the colle you should be aware of this. also, the use of the rook lift rf1-e1-e3-h3 , not particularily p-f4 then rf1-f3-h3 as the f pawn just simply gets in the way. if definatley think black has to play well to get the better of this opening, but once black has prepared well, its nothing to worry about!
