I prefer the old system of matches rather than a tournament and I don't believe FIDE world champions will carry the same weight under the new system. Kasparov remained the strongest player in the world despite his omission from their 'history' for a number of years of his reign.

I am very pleased that this event will take place in my country.
Argentina is well known as a nice play to organize such events.
(ask Ragnorak, he knows my country 🙂 )

But a caveat: In october we have the convention of American Presidents here, in Mar del Plata.

Security measures are being taken.

But we are a target for terrorist attacks.

I really hope that the visit of Bush et al don't cause trouble here :'(

Es relativo, Talem. Puede que desde el punto de vista turístico sea así.
Pero nosotros tenemos que "despegar" en serio, y hasta que no eliminemos la corrupción en la dirigencia política, vamos a seguir siendo un país de pobres.

Tengo entendido que a la Cumbre Latinoamericana asistirán 34 presidentes y cancilleres.
