1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 Nf6 is the four knights game. Do you have any ideas to make this opening a bit more interesting or worth to play? I find it really boring as it always goes into a symettrical position...
Holy smokes to the batmobile tight pants with ball cup boy someone has to alert NATO!
For more precise (better?) advice it helps to know which colour you're playing as. Never really played 1.e4 e5 as black so nooooo clue at all, but as white id do what the last guy said and play the scotch, Kasparov played it it has to be good 🙂

Yes! Silman wrote an article on this line for his website. The point is is that it's a Halloween Attack Reversed, but white can't retreat his knight to g3 like he would like to. Really interesting. 😀

Game 2059244
in my opinion its a bit less sound than the halloween gambit.
3...g6 gives both sides a better chance of winning and a smaller chance of a draw... according to chessgames.com where they have 164 games it scores 35.4% for white 37.8% for black (probably because it is uncommon) and 36.8% are draws. Compare this with the 4 knights game with 31.4% for white, 25.8% for black and a whopping 42.8% drawn! that must prove it to be a boring game! 😴
