yes, the second game was mattison-nimzowitch. White is about to lose the exchange at best.

The Ivanchuk-Kasparov game was extremely interesting. Maybe the tactics weren't ferocious but the players seemed both pretty astute! Ivanchuk (if he was white) played very well, loving the build-up. Definitely a contender, to put Kasparov in that end position is certainly something. 🙂

yes ivanchuk is white; one of the three brutal games in which he dispaches kasparov.
