Post your favorite games here. Anyone is allowed to show up to three games.
At the end, we can vote on the greatest game of chess ever played. They can be tactical fireworks, hard fought positional battles, or anything else. You can post GM games, or the games of your friends, etc. No offence, but if you are lower rated, (like myself) you probably haven't played the greatest game of chess ever played.
    Enjoy!

    I'll start:

Kasparov - Topalov, Wijk Aan Zee 1999

The aged former champion teaches the future great a lesson.

    What lesson was that?

Game two - I think it's a Nimzowich game. Maybe Reti was White.

This thread has been interesting - trying to guess the game just from the moves.

    Here's another:

yes, the second game was mattison-nimzowitch. White is about to lose the exchange at best.

The Ivanchuk-Kasparov game was extremely interesting. Maybe the tactics weren't ferocious but the players seemed both pretty astute! Ivanchuk (if he was white) played very well, loving the build-up. Definitely a contender, to put Kasparov in that end position is certainly something.

What a game! I think I've seen it before. Chucky is white right?

yes ivanchuk is white; one of the three brutal games in which he dispaches kasparov.
