Openings I hate:

1. Closed Sicilians, for whimps who don't wanna study any theory, usually results in lazy games where I have to wait, wait, and wait for white to play d4 for ANYTHING to happen, which is usally never.

2. Rossolimo Sicilians, same as above, it's not exactly hard to play Bb5, and that's all you have to know, lazy game boring game, no theory knowledge required.

3. I hate the Levitzky attack, I don't know why, it just peeves me off.

Giuoco Piano (Italian Game). Very boring, unless it turns into an Evans Gambit in which case it's a lot of fun.

I love this game, else I wouldn't play it. I used to hate playing against the French, because it always hurt. Now I play the French myself.

I will admit that playing against the Orangutang gets a little boring when my opponent at the ChessMaster X site is BeerDrinkinGuy because that seems to be all he plays. But when its not constant, its not a problem. I'll even trot out 1.b4 myself just for kicks from time to time.

I just can't stand those darn anti-Sicilians, they make the game so boring and passive, all you can do is sit around.

We should play sometime. All I play against the Sicilian is the closed.

Learn what an anti-sicilian is first. A closed sicilian is not an anti-sicilian it's a closed sicilian.
The most common anti-sicilian is the Smith Morrah Gambit (1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3 dxc3 4. Nxc3) which is the furthest from boring you can imagine. Another less common which I have played against is the Gran Prix Attack (1. e4 c5 2. f4) again not in the least boring.
Learn what you are talking about before talking about it.

In my case there are no openings I hate however I prefer some over others. Not a big fan of the Nimzo-Indian so I learnt to avoid it (Catalan).

The Grand Prix Attack is actually a closed Sicilian I think, and is most commonly reached from 1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. f4. The version with 2. f4 has fallen out of favor I think because of the immediate 2...d5!

I hate sicilians! With white against sicilian it seems impossible to do any progress (my experience) without starting crazy attack with pawns on the kingside. Not my style. And as I fear playing d4 or any more "subtle" opening move, i prefer playing with black pieces.

I hate or hated playing against the french and the queens gambit because they are so boring. But i recently discovered the alapin/diemmer gambit against the french e4-e6-d4-d5-be3!
And the chigorin defence against the queens gambit!

Ah yes, the toilet bowl variation has forced Grand Prix players to adopt the 2.Nc3 move order. And the resulting positions are very satisfying for "normal" Sicilian players--whatever in the world normality means.

Just play the closed Sicilian and NEVER play d4, trust me, black can't hurt you. I've played against this and it is very frustrating. White, by playing the closed, IMHO, signals he wants a draw, and if you try to break his bind, things get worse, so the best course of action is to sit around until white plays d4, which never happens, so you then start playing a 50 move middlegame in which I then try a pawn breakage and lose, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ😴😴😴

This is the worst line about the Closed Sicilian. My friend Zumdahl convinced me to play. Well, actually, I saw his convincing victories with it and I started to play it. White doesn't really sit around, and almost never plays d4? Why would he open up the center. Obviously the people that play the Closed against you have no idea what they are doing. White goes for a slow build up style attack on the kingside and black should be ramming pawns on the queenside. CS games are some of the most tense and complicated games ever.

WHATEVER, I just HATE the opening because white makes ALL THE DECISIONS, as I said, it's all up to white to decide when to open the center, because whenever black tries to force it, things go wrong. Queenside attacking him really does nothing, you basicly exchange a few pawns, acheive a symetrical queenside area where you play your rooks on open files, big deal, white can do the same thing, he doesn't have to attack kingside, he can easily stay binding and defensive on the queenside and again you are left puzzled how to open up the center. White is so much in the drivers seat with this STUPID variation that it's one reason as black not to play the Sicilian at all and perhabs instead hope for a draw with the Caro-Kann. 😴😴😴
