Strictly speaking, the Vienna Gambit is 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.f4. After 2...Nf6 3.f4 isn't really a gambit, since black can hardly take the pawn.

I do not know - Firewall or anti virus stuff is stopping me
from getting there - they must be trying to download
java script as soon as you hit the page - paste it on this site.
I had that problem with Firefox (my browser of choice), but Internet Exploiter loaded it with no problems.

Lately I've encountered the following a lot: 1.e4,e5 2.Nc3,Nf6 3.Bc4,c6,a line I almost never faced before.
The only literature I have on the Vienna is Santasiere/Smith's book: The vienna game and gambit,2nd revised edition 1992,which treats this line only very brief and is probably a bit outdated.
So now I wonder, has there been a reappraisal of this c6 line and nobody told me?
