Black has few good options here:
    5...Be7
    5...Nc6
    5...Bc5
    5...Bb4

I drew OTB last season against an ECF 128 playing this Falkbeer CG line as Black against the Vienna.

Good. I think at the top level it goves White nothing.
    best player wins.

But under 1600 - certainly worth a shot. It's easy tp remember the
theory for this line - but it's also very easy for an
inexeperienced player to go wrong. And due to the open nature
of game - one error - BANG!

There is a famous blindfold Zuckertort game with
this line. I recall Bxh7+ and then it looks as if Black is OK
but Rf6! - I am at work ATM - perhaps some other kind chap can
post the game. It's an instructive king-side attacking game.

I play it all the time, it's amazing how many people take the pawn and end up with a difficult game after pawn-e5 forces the knight to retreat back to it's original square. If they try anything else, it just gets worse for them.

    I prefer 2 play 2...Nc6 rather than 2...Nf6 🙂

I do not know - Firewall or anti virus stuff is stopping me
from getting there - they must be trying to download
java script as soon as you hit the page - paste it on this site.
