I might be wrong here, but why didn't you play 7... 0-0 ? After 8. Bh6 Ng6 Black seems to have a reasonably solid position.
7. ... 0-0 is one of the two main answers to the Poisoned pawn variation of the Winawer. The other one, more thematic, is 7. ... Qc7 as was played. Leads to very sharp and exciting play.

But I think that you really did make a weaker move with 20.Bb5? where something like Ba6 or Rb4 was better. The losing mistake was on the next move, though. 21.Rb4 would have been good. Your knight move 21.Nxb5 cleared the path for black's queen to e4, forking king and rook. Game over.
