A candidate for the best ever Chess book is "Tactics Time, 1001 Chess Tactics from the Real Games of Everyday Players" by Tim Brennan, purely because a lot of us are in it! 😉

Can't wait to find out what is on page 64! Must have something to do with the number of squares on a chessboard🙂

Maybe some archaeologist will find in 10,000 years from now.

The intro is very good. When Tim first mooted the idea a while back he asked me
to write an intro (I hope it's OK me telling the lads this Tim).
I of course agreed but when I saw his intro I said I could not improve on it.
To me it's just perfect. My sole suggestion was to make sure you add in the
names of the lads to prove that finding good tactcial shots is not beyond
players of our class.

(also people will but it if they have one or more of their games in it. I bought
Black is OK by Adjorjan because I get a mention....it's an ego thing.) 🙂

Any book that has set positions for a reader to solve is good.
You get ideas and patterns to put into use in your own games.
In Tim's case it's bound to be good because the positions are fresh and not
the same old positions you have seen before.

-----------------------------------------------

One thing to be careful about if you dislike a book written by a foreign lad.
It may be good in the original language but has been mangled in the translation.
So don't be too harsh on the author in that case, it may not be his fault.

To make it more clear, I thought the video was a mistake and had the wrong song on it. Then of course, it continued with the right song. The British do things like that for humor, I guess. Did I word that a little better?
