Does anyone know the list of tournaments that award master titles, and what titles they award? Example: The winner of the World Senior Championship is automatically awarded the GM title.

    Just curious. Thanks!

The winner of the World Junior Championship also gets the GM title I believe

I think just playing in the Olympiad gives you the FM title.

I may be wrong. Just googled it and never found anything to back me up.

But then again, your acquaintances may have opted not to pay FiDE the fee they charge for the said honour. Given that most tournaments don’t give any benefits to FM’s, it is quite common I think.
