Hi
I'm learning the English and sicillian openings , both involve fianchetting bishops which I'm unfamilar with.
My problem is my opponant brings his rooks pawn down the line attacking my bishops pawn. This is a big problem when I've castled.
What can be done about this ? aslo when I get by knight out it blocks off by fianchettoed bishop any thoughts on this.
Please help ?

In others, however, if you prefer, you can move your knight to e2 instead, which allows your bishop to have the open diagonal.
