Hey guys! I was wondering if any of you play this defence and why. If not, I would like to have your opinion.
Have you ever heard of the Traxler gambit?
I love it.

I have heard of it. It is certainly double-edged, although I think if White isn't too greedy in this variation, he/she might be able to survive.

Move 6: King to f1.
The 2 knights defense really welcomes the Fried Liver Attack.

8 Bxd5 would have been better. Actually good enough maybe to stop your whole attack.

I doubt it.. that's a book move... his move 9 was the first move out of book.
8 Bxd4 is better than pxd4 because the bishop is open and e4 protected from the f6 knight. White is also ahead enough to sacrifice his queen and still be ok. And white isn't obligated to take the rook on move 7...actually it might be a bad idea to do that.
The book is not something to completely obey.

If you disagree make a set piece from that position and see what you can do with it. There's no way white could win a position that open when black has a queen and isn't countered by a white queen.
