I just started using ubuntu 12.04 and am having trouble getting the "eboard" program to work with fics. I thought I'd post here because the community has been helpful in the past.
So here is what happens: I start eboard, and connect to fics. I can chat and get a game. But when my 5 min game starts, the clocks display unlimited time. I mak ...[text shortened]... configured but have heard you can play without it. Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance

Thanks for responding.
I installed both the program and the extras package using the package manager but the behavior described above
"So here is what happens: I start eboard, and connect to fics. I can chat and get a game. But when my 5 min game starts, the clocks display unlimited time. I make a move on eboard and the opponent cannot make their move." Still happens. Not sure why. Any suggestions?
Originally posted by emperor31Just because you said that made me think of something, I'm not eactly sure what it is... As far as I remember Babas changes some settings which affect you when using eboard... so even if you used babas in windows then try and use eboard in Ubuntu...
Thanks all. I've been running Babas under wine.
Will post to Major Geeks when time permits. Thank you again.
