a little while ago there was a thread about playing a game with one player having only bishops and the other only knights.
me and piston broke tried it out, and here is the result
Game 742849
this is between ~1200 rated players, so dont expect the quality of play to be exceptional

EDIT: just looked over the game, how embarassing it is! spose thats wot happens to an unrated game in a sea of tournaments and clan challenges 🙁

How about a quick look with Fritz:
Knights vs. Knights = +0.13 (suggests 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. 0-0 0-0)
Knights vs. Bishops = -0.37 (suggests 1. Nf3 d5 2. 0-0 Qd6)
Bishops vs. Knights = +0.89 (suggests 1. e4 e5 2. d4 exd4)
Bishops vs. Bishops = +0.13 (suggests 1. d4 d5 2. Qd3 Qd6)
All of these evaluations are at a depth of 13 ply (that's 13 half moves).
So what can be said from this? Well not much really. Fritz is awful at finding the correct moves in non-tactical positions. I think the main part making up the large plus for the Bishops side when the opponent has Knights is due to the bishop pair. Fritz evaluates the bishop pair as an advantage.
I personally would take the bishops but I guess playing with the knights a good game is still possible.

Open challenge here! I am ~1500 rating, and will take either Bishops or Knights! Come on, take me on!
I have always preferred having knights, but I've noticed how much the good players crucify me with bishops, so I really don't care which I get.
