Unusual mate pattern

Nothing unusal about the mate. I didn't read the game, but it's more than common to get your K stuck in poo against your own pieces in the middle of the board!!

You shouldn't have moved him there..... 😉

Yeah good game and not too common a pattern.

There was another one lurking in there. A nice 3 piece mate.



(have to start it off with a White move 'cos Black cannot move first
from a PGN set up position).

No need to go visiting other sites, I have the game memorised.

And it's a "pure mate"--- the square the king is on and all the surrounding squares are only attacked once. That makes it special.
