I'd like to use the 'Email My Games' feature and study my games offline (whilst commuting on delayed trains) Can anyone reccommend some software (preferrably free) to do this?

What I really need is an equivalent of the online 'analyse game' that I can preload from the email

Thanks

Paul

iv found arena useful, u can get it from;
http://playwitharena.com/

u js load the pgn of ur rhp games into it and u can go to any position and move the pieces about like in the analyse board on rhp.
u can also download an engine to play against or make a superior move from a position, tho the basic downloadable ones dont tell u why the move is better. i use ruffian, u can get it from the Arena site

hope that was wot u were looking for, gd luck 🙂

How do I get the email from RHP into the Arena playlist?. I have tried saving the text as a .pgn field and importing but I just get the players on different lines in the list view and no moves seem to be loaded in

Thanks

Guess you're talking about laptop.

Chesspad is good.

Save all pgns into a .pgn file, then database, open and chose the .pgn file. Then you open a game by clicking on Database, games.

Enjoy.

Arena doesn't recognise rhp-pgn.Not an uncommon problem,as it's not a standard form of pgn, that's being used here.
You can either adjust the pgn file, put in the moves manually or use other software.Winboard is free and can read rhp-pgn,but there are other free ones out there.

EDIT: Just tried chesspad, that's really good too.Nice graphics as well 🙂

http://scid.sf.net/

works on linux, mac and windows.

Great for analysis during the game with the trial mode; great for computer analysis after the game with it's hooks into crafty, scidlet and others.

Your cost ... $0.
