was this sound?

ok i have never posted one of my games/moves here for comment before, so dont be too harsh but . . .

recently finished a game where i was in this position:



i had just gone a pawn down and played Nxe5... he didnt take the sac and i pushed through for mate . . .

ok i won the game but i want to know if anyone with a decent rating (compared to my lowly mid 1300's) can let me know if the sac was actually sound.

i checked it through myself and im still pretty sure it was good but then again i am pretty low rated and I know that is because i make mistakes like unsound sacrafices. any advice i can get would be appreciated.

here is one of the chaps games that he has finished, good win against an opponent rated almost three hundred points higher

ok i had expected him to have finished by now sorry (next move is mate and he cant stop it).

There ought to be some penalty for all these guys that keep posting games in progress - something like having to read an entire cheater1 thread ten times in a row. 😉 (just kidding, hehe)

As far as I can tell, it looks like a pretty good sac to me. Black's king safety is leaking like a sieve. Whether or not Black takes the knight, it looks like you have so many pieces aiming at the king that he's in big trouble regardless. At least that's this patzer's two cents worth.
