Okay, this is something I've always pondered, but never really looked into. I know there are 1000s of chess openings. What is the strangest and rarest opening that you can actually play with an equal chance of winning - one that is recorded in chess history but rarely ever seen. I mean something strange! I weird opening with some weird name. Fried Liver Attack strange! And, yet, it was once played and people used it successfully. Get where I'm going? Okay, so go for it. I might want to play one of them. hehe

Isn't there one called the 'Monkey Bum' ?
I think there's one called the 'Hippopotamus' defence ... a book on this has been just released - anyone confirm this?
One called the 'Snake-Benoni' and a common one called the 'Hedgehog' and the 'Elephant Gambit'.
Is that enough?
