The questions is, if you could have someone, anyone...write one book of any topic, who and what would it be?
My answer would be for someone to write a quality book on middlegame planning and thought processes. I know there have been books written, and feel free to recommend your favorite, but I haven't found the perfect book yet. It'd probably be in Chernev form, but with more general principles. Perhaps something Silman, with position after position of what's the plan?
I'd want Karpov to write it.
