What did I do wrong in this game?

From about move 50 I thought I was closing in on a win, but I'm now in a bit of trouble.

This game is still in progress so don't comment on the current state, just if there was a win in a few moves from about move 50. If that isn't allowed then I'll let you know when it's finished then you can comment.

The tactical awareness of both sides in this game was absolutely appalling. You both need to slow down and actually analyse before making a move. Apart from that, Black did at least have a rough approximation of a kingside attack, so he probably deserved to win.

I think if he didn't go for my final pawn he could have had me in serious trouble. After losing my knight I thought I'd lost it.

I didn't go through the entire game, but since you mentioned move 50, I did pull up the position at move 50, and I immediately noticed that you could have won White's queen with 50...Qh1+ 51.Qg1 Rc1+.
