please tell me the name of the action where you re-position a piece on its own square.
its something you tell your opponent when you are adjusting a piece.

Not sure of the name of the action but you are supposed to say "j'adoube" when you do it. I think this is French for "I adjust" but if your opponent doesn't speak French you may still get into an argument! Maybe best just to explain what you are about to do.

you don't have to call en passant when taking the pawn..........also there's no requirement to announce "check"
