I have a long list of stuff to look at when I want to analyze my position, but I don't have patience for it. I've settled on not dropping material immediately. I used to be 1680...I don't try that hard. Although lately I've been trying more, and my rating is rising.

Ah Ha 1680 - just a few good moves short of 1700.
I knew there was good player in there.

Well by not trying hard you have the knack of getting your bits
where they should be. Just sharpen up the old tactics and
you will soon be back up there.

Positional play is fairly easy for me. Tactics are my weakness. I have to really concentrate to find tactics. Positional moves come naturally.

Thanks for putting time in looking at my games 🙂

How did I lose this? I don't see any REALLY stupid mistakes, and I was dominating for a long time.
Many good comments about your losing the winning game. I have one comment to share. I think over confident is one of the factors. Normally we don't want to simplify the game by exchanging pieces when we are in attacking mode. You did just opposite. I think you were carried away by material advantage in your favor. You bothered less to maintain your positional advantage.

Be cool. Keep all the advantages that your have created. Give them up if only you are forced to do so. Don't do it just because you want to win the way you are comfortable with.

Thank you.
