I think my game is very solid, but I need to learn how to attack better. What is a good book, or books that demonstrate how to attack the kingside?
1) Read the chapter on pawn storms in the classic Art Of The Middlegame by Keres and Kotov. It's probably the most instuctive text you'll find on attacking the enemy fortress.
2)The Art Of Chess Combination by Borovsky. It's a little more advanced but the third section of the book which is all about combinations based on the position of the pieces is truly priceless.
You also might want to look at Renaud and Khan's The Art Of The Checkmate. This is another timeless classic that can't help but to improve one's attacking prowess.
I ordered the art of checkmate, because I don't know the basic checkmating patterns by Viktor Kahn
on the attack!! by Jan Timman
and secrets of attacking chess by Mihail Marin
I figured new books would be better for me. I've looked through art of attack and I know it has a lot good information, but the book is so damn boring that it bored the hell out of me to be honest.
