I think you mean ...Bf5 although it's rather hard to tell.

It's not really that reckless.
It's a pretty safe looking position for white & the advantage is more psychological, especially if you get the chance to play it OTB:

1.e4...c6
2.d4...d5
3.e5...Bf5
4.Nf3...e6
5.Bd2 or Be2 to castle kingside or maybe Nc3 though this allows black to pin with his bishop with Bb4.
Either way it's pretty solid play against the Caro-Kann.

I usually use Bf5 but I hate when people push g4 and attack the bishop because white gains a tempo. I've also noticed when I play bullet games that sometimes white pushes a ton of pawns and just locks you up completely.
