I only read a small portion of it, but IM Andrew Martin's book, "The Hippopotamus Rises" had some witty prose and some rather bizarre games in it.

Spassky played the Hippo twice in his unsuccessful World Championship Match against Petrosian in 1966. Both games were drawn.
