What is your average # moves per game?

The average of posters now is approx. 31,8 moves per game.
Even though it is a purely indicative value (it counts games in progress) it's pretty near to reality.
On Gameknot there's this statistic and my average moves per game is a plain 31.

Even counting finished and in progress games the result is pretty the same:
Ravello 856(finished)+39(in progress) :27'781(moves) = 31.04moves per game!

31.2 completed games
27.6 including unfinished games

Mine is 31.8. It appears I am dead average!

It is interesting how similar these are. I wonder what the average moves/game are in grandmaster play, amateur tournament play, etc.

Grandmasters recognize a lost position earlier than other players, and so that would tend to cause them to resign sooner, shortening the game. On the other hand, grandmasters don't blunder so as to lose quickly, lengthening the game. Which of these tendencies dominates, I don't know.

I think player's "resignation habits" would influence such stat a lot though:-)

68 games, plus 30 in progress. 2486 moves.
25.367 including games in progress.
36.559 not including games in progress.

My average is 37.8 on completed games, 25.7 including games in progress.
