Creativity, wisdom, willpower, dedication, and definitely a good deal of passion for the game.

A good chess player is kind to animals, to other human beings, and prays more than he or she preys.

If you wish to be good at chess, you need talent and lots of hard work. Study endgames, and the classics first. The first volume of Garry Kasparov, My Great Predecessors is excellent training material.

Not losing - as you can tell i'm a terrible player 😉

A lot of very hard work.

Remember, the winner of a game is the player who makes the last but one mistake.
