chessmaster 10 eddition for pc .they say grandmaster level is grandmaster what rating level is realy have you guys beaten it yet on grandmaster level.
Edit: Fritz and Rybka are a lot stronger!
rybka is by far the best program right now. but even the old chessmaster 9 has beaten GM Larry Christiansen a couple of years ago, so chessmaster 10's grandmaster personalities are at least on average grandmaster level in a normal computer.
and yes, a strong master could beat it, but maybe in 2-3 games out of 10. an average grandmaster would have equal chances I guess.

I saw Larry at a chess tourney in Long Beach California, after the games were finished he played ten people blindfolded, it was an amazing exibit.
The bruins scenario is a good one. Even though they are a professional (grandmaster) team they are at the bottom of that list. They meet the minimum requirements and on a good day can beat the best of them. Unlike the bruins though CM10 has an excellent tutorial program as well as a good analysis feature. They also have a good looking Logo, where the bruins have a poor excuse for a bear 🙂
