In this position it is white to move. This was a game I played recently on the blitz site and at this point I decided to throw caution to the wind. I saw an interesting but certainly dodgy move and decided to go for it!

After you guys tell your moves and plan I'll tell you what I tried

1. Ng4 fxN 2. Rf7+ RxR 3. QxR Kh8 4. Qxe6

I would probably play Rab1 just because the sacrifice doesn't seem too sound.

Ng4 looks like a funky blitz move 🙂

Yep! That's the move I played and that's the line that came. After my move the next 4 or 5 moves were pretty much forced.

The gambit didn't seem very sound to me too at the time but I thought that maybe with the complications that would follow, the pawns that I would devour, and the ongoing attack I was having could turn the tides to my favour. And actually that was happen.

But let some more people post, or more time pass, and I will tell you more about this.

Yep it was a french. But I don't think I missplayed it, I just think I was too goddamn original... 😵
Now seriously: I thought I had missplayed this but now I don't know for sure.

Alright - just to be contrary, I don't think its that dodgy. What indeed does black do after Ng4 fg4, Rf7+ Rxf7, Qxf7+ Kh8, Qxe6? He can't defend h6 with his queen, because both bishops are attacked. He could try Kh7, but then Qf7+ is a draw and white can try for more with Rf1. If black allows Rf1, he may well have a tough time defending.

I didn't analyze deeply, but I think white gets at least a draw.

Yep it isn't dodgy at all. I've been analysing this and white seems to be always winning 😲 . I just got to do some more stuff and then I'll post everything.

Thisis how the actual game went down. From my move onwards were several inaccuracies by both players my 25.hxg4 could throw the game away. In a while I'll post my "analysies" and feedback and discussion are welcomed.
