What's the winning move?

I just got this position in the blitz microsite. My opponent was rated about 1850 in a 15/5 game.



I had about 15 seconds left on the clock when I quickly played 28. Ng3 to try to get more time on the clock and to try to get my knight involved.

What should I have played instead?

In the same game, I played 25. Bd6.



My opponent sacced the exchange with 25... Rxd6. What was he afraid of?

(I haven't used a computer to double check this, but I think my idea was sound.)
