Simplicity borders to idiocy. As Einstein put it:" try to explain things as simple as possible, but not more simple."

LOL!
Why is it that any time Einstein is even mentioned someone breaks out
E equals mc squared, and waves it like a banner? Like this would indicate vast knowledge and brilliance on the part of the speaker.
Sometimes they even know a little more about it but not very often. I guess this might be best interpreted as a sign that mathematic notation has an almost hypnotic quality in the eyes of people who dont know much about it.
Couple that with the fact that almost everyone know about E=mc2 and that Einstein came up with it, it might instill some people with a warm feeling of superiority in the pit of their stomachs, and that, frankly, makes me slightly nausious.

If someone were to quote Fermat no one would respond:
"Ahh! a^n+b^n=c^n has no solutions for n greater than 2"

PS.
This is not meant as a personal insult. It's just an observation concerning a phenomenon that has bugged me for the longest time.
And should anyone feel that their high oppinions about themselves have taken a hit, then thats just to bad.
DS.
