That title sounded familiar so I looked for it in my youngest son's room. He left his computer games here when he went off to get his masters degree in California. There it was among all his computer games and next to it was The Rise & Rule of Ancient Empires by Sierra. I never played any of them so I don't know if I would like it or not. But I am not really in to computer games anyway.
I play bridge and poker, and my favourite computer game is heroes of might and magic 3. It's had many newer versions come out but I like the old one...
I find a lot of chess players play poker and backgammon seriously. Very few play bridge, though.
Portal, and recently bought a Shogi set for my Dad, but we haven't played yet. Racquet sports too, and would like to take up volleyball. One day I will learn contract bridge, because I think it's a very deep, and social, game.
Back in the day, I played a lot of Command & Conquer (and the rest, like Red Alert), then moved on to Diablo and Diablo 2. Way before that, I played every single Wing Commander game that came out, plus the special missions disks. Also, along the way, I played the whole Star Control series and Starflight and Starflight 2. I heard they're trying to bring that series back with Starflight 3.
