Hearts (best played for a nickel a point)
Poker (I won back to back 50+ player tournaments one time!)
Jezzball (was another obssession one time)
Backgammon (fun but never wanted to study and ruin it like chess)
Tetris (yet another obsession but great fun!)
Most of these games, I can literally play nonstop for days.
I can play just about anything (some of them well/ some not so well), but these are the ones that come to mind as my favorites.

Also called bughouse
I hate that bughouse chess. You work had to capture your opponents pieces and the next thing you know you are surprised with your opponent putting the pieces right back on the board and it is legal.

I generally stink at all chess variants (except Fischer Random). It's hard for me to adjust, and then it ends up affecting my game. One time I tried to play atomic chess for a while, and I lost about 200 rating points at regular chess. I'm sure everyone doesn't have this problem, but it was enough for me to give it up.

i'm thinking of taking up a second 'mind game' like backgammon or poker....
The spring season of the Orlando Pub Darts League starts tonight! I consider myself fortunate that there are so many UK expats living in Central Florida.
