... I will take a leaf out of Alekhine's book and give this one a different ending.

I felt quite pleased with myself for seeing the idea of 19. Rf6 from several moves away, but Mr Fritz ruined it all for me by showing me the lovely finish I missed on move 22. See if you can spot it.

byedidia - yes, it's a big problem that it's far easier to find a good move if you know there is one. Some chess-improvement books try to get round this by asking you to find the "best move", which might be a positional move, a winning combination or a clever defence to what looks like a lost position.

Man, I did not use no engine. How may times must I say it. It took me about 2 minutes. 😏

P.S. But I may have never seen his original idea. That was good!
