Leaving the Queen on the first rank, allowing white to free the bishop with check, attacking the Queen with the rook.

oh no.... check your specs.... i missed a good 12th move for sure.

    11. ...Qe7+ making that check without support was a woodpush that took your most important piece out of the fray....

ok ... 🙂 .... but i'm sorry you are wrong
  8. 03 Sep '10 18:31
    I'm wrong?...very well could be...why am I wrong?

black has a killer 12th move that forces white to sacrifice his queen a few moves later. (i think) not saying tho... only just found it 🙂

i play this set up a lot as black but haven't seen this line before...

yes! thats it. eagle eyed as ever

...but after Nh3 ...Qxh2...sort of ruins that line
  13. 03 Sep '10 20:16
    Hi Highdraw.

Nh3 is a check. The is why White played Nc3 to stop Ne2+.

now i see...that is the problem with most of my games as well.....moving (speaking) without throughly thinking...

    Hi Highdraw (part 2)

I looked at a few games.

You know what you are doing but are not stopping to give the position
a good look. Game 7707137 you missed a good in 'between move'
with a check winning a piece.

White to play. You played 1.e3. There is better.
