No. I just played for an hour and my opponent ended up just moving me back and forth to force a draw. I know its legal, just needed someplace to vent and get opinions about it. Seems like if he wanted to play chess he should have finished the game.

LMAO, yeah dude, I know what you mean. One time, I was up a pawn, and this jerk checkmated me. I was so pissed, I mean, if he wanted to play you'd think he'd at least let me win!

3 move repetition or perpetual check finishes the game.

??

I don't see why black should go for perpetual.

Oh well. It was a real even match, he had the slight advantage but just ended up moving back and forth. Not sure why. Just needed to vent as I waisted an hour playing this guy and he didn't finish.

By forcing a draw he was playing chess!!

You need to be aware of those things in order to succeed!

Just looking for opinions. Seems like that kind of ruins the fun of it unless your down. He was up. Just a waist of time. Helps my rating I guess not to lose.

Maybe he missed the win.

He probably didn't like that queen and bishop hovering around his king and didn't want to give you the chance to counter attack, though that threat looks pretty much superficial.

Anything you do on the board (as opposed to off the board tactics like trying to throw your opponent with annoying behaviour) that is designed to give you the result you are after is perfectly sporting.

LOL yea..um about that...when I play otb tournaments and find that my opponent is in a deep train of thought, I pick up a captured piece, fiddle with it for a bit, then "accidentally" drop it, making a healthy loud sound!
