7.d3 Nd4 8.Nxd4 Bxd4 9.Ne4 looks better than my 7.Ne4
But even though I was surprised by the opening, I think the game was not lost in the opening. Black was very comfortable throughout but I could have equalized with 12.d4! instead of 12.Qxc6
From there on it was an uphill struggle, I think.
Maybe I'm missingmething, but there seems to be an undertone of resentment toward OTB Players. If so explain. I have played a little OTB club chess and the pressure is immediate and there is no time to reference. It all has to come out of your head. I'm fairly new to the site, so someone please explain this resentment for me. Or am I just imagining the whole thing?

Undertone of resentment towards OTB players from my post above or in general from other Rhp players?
I am an OTB player over and online player and I have the uttmost respect for OTB players since I am one also 🙂 I prefer OTB anyday over online chess.

where else besides the gamesexplorer do you look stuff up at?? just wondering..
Let's avoid the personal insults. My point is that 3...f5 is a known variation in the standard response to the Ruy Lopez. It even has a name, the Schliemann Defense. Even though you don't see it every day, it hardly rates a "wow." Our Games Explorer, quoting Wikipedia, refers to it as "somewhat dubious." Well, maybe. Rahim, with all due respect, I think we're surprised because you're surprised. 🙂
