Hi All,
I've seen several posts for online databases here, but I don't see any that are providing links to what I'm looking for, so I hope this post isn't redundant.
I'm trying to beef up my CB9 Starter Database (without shelling out for the Mega Database). I'm looking for online resources that I can use to download a massive number of games to add to my DB. I imagine that since any recorded chess games are public knowledge and cannot be copyrightable, someone would provide all the games in the Mega Database for free somewhere online.
I am updating my database each week by going to The Week In Chess (TWIC) at http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/twic.html. For those who don't know, this site provides weekly downloads containing any noteworthy games that took place that week around the world. I created a little VB app that downloaded and unzipped all previous week editions for me and combined them into one file so I could easily throw it into my Chessbase DB. I don't know of another more complete source for current games. Does anyone else?
Also, my VB app downloaded all the games from www.LogicalChess.com, which provides downloads to BookUps's database files, categorized by ECO number. This appended a few thousand games to my Database, but that's not very much.
Can someone recommend a site with a huge list of historic game downloads? I've looked at www.chesslive.de, www.chessgames.com, and others, but they provide online search tools, not mass downloading like what I want.
Thanks All!

Here is one place...

See left hand side of page. Warning, ICCF allows Engine assistance so you will run the risk of unwittingly using engine moves. Whether or not this will push your match up % significantly is questionable, but i thought you should be aware that there is a risk...
