Who is the best at playing black ?

I thought it would be interesting to know which of you superstars has the most wins playing black ???????

i am going to pitch in and start the ball rolling with 151 wins on black. I should point out i have lost 292 nearly double.

I just want to see who is playing their fair shares with the disadvantage of going second.

Being Mr. AP Stats, this should actually be a proportion, maybe games played as black under games won as black, otherwise this study is meaningless, as someone who plays more games makes it look like he won more games as black. That sounded official didn't it? 😀

I've won 63% of my games with Black.

As opposed to a 61% success rate with White.

And overall 55% of my games have been played with Black. More than my fair share. 😉

My stats(win,draw,lose): Black 82 31 49 total of 162 games
White 79 10 38 total of 127 games

Seems I do ok as black.But I think for this to be of any value,one should only consider the games against opponents of somewhat equal strength.Say maximum 100 points higher or lower than yourself.

May I also add that I believe the only 'disadvantage' black has exists in the minds of the players.See below link:

I think Ironman has the best stats for that. I think he won 100% with black. Very impressive😀

where can i find my history of games played with white/black

and my wins losses draws with each????

Go to your MY HOME and you will find a tab that has MY PERFORMANCE on it. you will have all your stats on it against all opponents played.

About the same by my reconing.

Well here's a slightly different stat that should correct for #games played in different colours:

(% win white) / (% win black)

If your number is > 1.0, you 'prefer' white. less than zero, you are a master of the dark side.

In my case, its 1.02: a rather dull grey methinks. Our new rising star Ironman is a pure 1.0, with 100% on both sides. Steely grey that one.

PS I ignored drawn games.

With exactly 1000 games completed -

As white 283 40 86 - 69% 10% 21%
As black 401 49 141 - 68% 8% 23%

And spread of games are 41% white 59% black

Unless I go on a major losing or winning streak - these %s are unlikely to change.
