predictions

Kramnik isn't able to win with White against Karjakin, the draw is agreed after the time control has been reached

Shirov plays a short draw vs. Dominguez

Anand has a tough day against Van Wely and loses in only 33 moves

Caruana escapes in similar fashion to his escape last year against Short in Corus-B and wins against Carlsen. Kramnik and Carlsen tie for first

In the lower regions Smeets beats Short, and Tiviakov draws against Nakamura, leaving Nigel on the bottom of the rankings

The B-group is won by Giri, who loses today, but this doesn't matter as his competitors cannot manage to win either

Short Smeets that seems like outrageous preparation to me 😛

Ouch

Seems like Short outprepared him though, he's been thinking for over half an hour now

Carlsen will not lose, neither will Anand

Well, Kramnik has already drawn, so your prediction is off again. But you might still be right about the tie...

Wulebgr lost. And Shirov is probably kicking himself. Badly.

Wulebgr lost, but who won? 😕

without shirov, I would've gotten carlsen, naka, van wely, short, smeets all spot on. anand & kramnik switched places from my prediction, which I thought might happen. but shirov I never saw coming, great games, great tournament.
